Jucătoarea canadiană de origine română Bianca Andreescu, locul 60 WTA, a câştigat, duminică, finala turneului de categorie Premier Mandatory de la Indian Wells, după ce a întrecut-o, în finală, cu 6-4, 3-6, 6-4, pe germana Angelique Kerber, locul 8 WTA.
Bianca Andreescu a avut o evoluţie excelentă la Indian Wells. Canadianca de origine română s-a calificat în semifinale, fiind cea mai tânără jucătoare care reuşeşte acest lucru.
